Join us for an engaging evening as we welcome Sturgeon Protectors' MKE Mark Denning, Native American cultural speaker and educator and Milwaukee Riverkeeper Cheryl Nenn to share the incredible comeback story of the lake sturgeon—an ancient, endangered fish making its return to the Milwaukee River.
After 20 years of conservation efforts and sturgeon releases, these remarkable fish are now beginning to swim upstream from Lake Michigan to spawn—right past Hubbard Park! Sturgeons are gentle giants that can grow up to 7 feet long, live over 100 years, and hold deep cultural and spiritual significance for Native peoples.
Don’t miss this inspiring story of environmental recovery and cultural connection!
